Jason Cahill is a veteran, CEO, family man, and a conservative Republican with deep roots in the Hill Country and a lifelong record of hard work and service.
Growing up in a struggling working-class family, Jason forged his work ethic and learned the value of hard labor in the oil fields of the Permian Basin. At fifteen, Jason worked greasing pump jacks to help support the family.
While attending Texas Tech University and answering the call to serve, Jason enlisted in the United States Navy in 1999 and rose to the rank of Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class (E-5). Trained by some of the most elite intelligence agencies in the world, he played a pivotal role in America’s defense during a time of historic challenge.

During his tenure in the Navy, America was rocked by the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Soon after, Jason deployed to the Middle East in support of the Global War on Terrorism as part of the first battle group to respond to the 9/11 attacks and later took part in the liberation of Iraq. Following his honorable discharge, Jason continued his commitment to national security as a civilian contractor for American intelligence agencies, working on the ground in Iraq from 2004 to 2007.
Family tragedy brought Jason back to Texas after his father suffered a significant heart attack. With the grit and determination from his tough upbringing and his experiences in the Navy, Jason threw himself into starting an oil and gas business to provide for himself and his family, which he has successfully run for the past sixteen years.
In his role as CEO of his company, Jason has gained extensive experience in contract law, payroll and personnel management, mergers and acquisitions, investment, securities, and banking.
The Cahill’s bought their first home in Congressional District 21 in 2009. Jason and his wife, Alithia, are raising their four children—Sebastian, Theodore, Aviva, and Benjamin—in Boerne. The Cahills are active members of their local church, where faith and service remain central to their family life.
Jason’s life experiences have prepared him to serve the hardworking people of TX-21 with the same dedication and resolve that have defined every chapter of his life. Jason’s guiding principles are: “Be a good husband and father, provide for and protect your family, and serve others as you have been served.”
