According to the NSEA's web site, Jim Gibbons has voted against public education 70% of the time! I believe that high quality public education is the great equalizer in a democracy! In fact, I will go as far as to say that without high quality public education for all socieo-economic groups and ethnic groups our democracy is in serious trouble.

I am ANTI-voucher! Vouchers will take money from the neediest students, schools, and school programs and give it to private schools that do not have to meet state curriculum standards. Private schools have been able to exclude students for many reasons. (It's pretty easy to be successful if you get to pick your clients, public schools can't do that).
