According to the AFL-CIO's web site, Gibbons has voted against labor issues 78% of the time during his career in congress.

I will do everything within my power to protect our state's OSHA program. The Republicans have been trying to get rid of it and turn it over to the federal government.  This would severely understaff the program, which could allow violations to take place without enough staff to ensure worker safety. I will strongly support the Federal and the State Davis-Bacon Law, ensuring prevailing wages! The Republican Party desperately wants to repeal this act which would destroy labor.

I will work hard to repeal the 1947 Taft-Hartley Act, the single most anti-labor legislation in effect. This has allowed Nevada to become a Right to Work state, and forced unions to perform services for non-union workers.
